5.the state or feeling of being contented; contentment: His content was threatened.

at first, i did not want this to be confused with the more common pronunciation of the spelling:

con·tent1 (accent on the 1st syllable)

 but then i  read this definition:
–noun
3.significance or profundity; meaning: a clever play that lacks content.
and it seemed to fit as well.
~i do not want want my days to lack content, that is, significance or meaning.
this happens all too often as i am slothful and tend to let things happen around me and then bemoan my time wasted, which leads me to be discontented

The LORD brought this passage of scripture to me as i was prayerfully considering this, and i want to meditate on it regularly.

6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:

      “ He has dispersed abroad,
      He has given to the poor;
      His righteousness endures forever.”

10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. (2 Corinthians 9:6-11, New King James Version)

our hearts are headed in the same direction this year, juanita. this is absolutely lovely. i like how you broke it down and examined every meaning. God's words to us are always so rich and full, aren't they?

i am praying for you and with you today that we will rest in the enough of God and know His contentment!
