Our own MT has suffered over the last few years, since I had to start working, becoming minimal as well as sporadic. Now that I am home again we are finding our way back to a more regular rhythm. We have managed 2 or 3 Morning Times a week; although they sometimes don't happen until afternoon! Our Autumn Term began the day after Labor Day and runs through the Friday before Thanksgiving.
- Psalms ~ the plan is one a week; so far we have read through Psalm 6
- Prayers ~
- Prayer of Confession
- Prayer to the Holy Spirit (attributed to Saint Augustine)
- Prayer of Saint Columba
- Prayer of Saint Boniface
- Hymns ~ (my son is accompanying us on the guitar using Hymn Chords)
- The Doxology
- Holy, Holy, Holy
- Now Thank We All Our God
- We Gather Together
- Poetry ~ each day that we have MT we read a poem or two from the Ambleside Anthology
- Memory Work ~
- Psalm 1
- The Apostles Creed
- We Thank Thee by Ralph Waldo Emerson (or not?)
- multiplication & division Facts
- list of prepositions
- Ourselves
- Art ~ Autumn Picture Study
- Music ~ we choose a different piece to listen to each day from this album:
- Another inspiration from Cindy:
- When we are finished I say the priestly blessing (Numbers 6:24-26) and then "The Lord be with you" and my children answer, "and also with you."
