Weblink Wednesday

*edited on Friday, 13, February* I hope all of these links will work now.  Thank you for the heads up, RenJac.  I have no idea why they went all wonky on me.

I found these while wasting time mindlessly surfing working on the computer today, and I thought somebody else might enjoy them as well.

Kids Say...

Toodles to Lulapalooza upon my informing them that they would soon need to come inside to do some work after they had been playing outside together most of the morning: "It's okay L.  When she calls us we can just pause the game until we come back out."

Toodles and Uncle B (whose birthday it is today along with his twin my darling husband) this morning:

  • Uncle B: "Lift up your arm."

  • Toodles: "No."

  • Uncle B: "Lift up your arm."

  • Toodles: "No; you'll tickle me."

  • Uncle B: "Lift up your arm."

  • Toodles (reluctantly): "Okay, but this is your birthday present!"

I cannot possibly be the mother of four teens!

Happy Birthday Sgt. Elf!

Wow, you are 13 years (+ one week) old; how did that happen?!
I am so glad to have you in my life.  You are so smart and independent and determined, and even though those are the very things that you and I often clash over, they really are good qualities that you possess.  You are also hard-working, loyal, clever, and funny.  I not only love you, but I admire you.  It is a wonder to behold the young woman you are becoming.  I look forward to watching the next 13 years and beyond.

"For I am confident of this very thing,
that He who began a good work in you
will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
~Philippians 1:6

There was a star danced, and under that was I born.

Lots of outside play; the weather was in the 60's and lower 70's with low humidity, so it was perfect for playing outside.  This worked out well with my plan to severely limit the television, which has really gotten out of hand lately.
